Our Team

Dr. Simon took ownership of Walpole Vet Hospital in 2023 from Dr. Chuck Shaw D.V.M.  Simon started his Career in Vet medicine working for Dr. Shaw while he was in high school.  Went on to graduate from The University of Glasgow Veterinary School in 2011 and moved with his family back to Walpole. When not working, Dr. Gascoyne enjoys mountain biking and trail running with the dogs, or fly fishing on the rivers of Vermont and New Hampshire.

Dr. Jex has lived in Vermont since graduating veterinary college, Minnesota in 1992. Dr. Jex is married and she and her husband have raised 3 successful children in Springfield, VT and currently care for horses, cats, and dogs. She enjoys her motorcycle, pet family, visiting her children, gardening and skiing. She is originally from Cooperstown, NY.

Dr. Levitre is originally from Rhode Island. She moved to Colorado in 2020 and graduated from Colorado State University's Doctor of Veterinary Medicine program in 2024. Following graduation she moved to New Hampshire to join the team at Walpole Veterinary Hospital. When not working Dr. Levitre enjoys hiking, paddle boarding, and spending time with her cat Tigra, and her guniea pig, Autumn.

Rocky joined Walpole Vet in 1994, has one son, and loves water play sports. When not working she enjoys watching her son play hockey and soccer, spending time with friends/family, her wonderful Pitbull rescue, and tending to her many house plants.

Beccah joined Walpole Vet in 2018 as a Kennel Kid who quickly moved to tech assistant and then technician. She is from Langdon, NH and went to Fall Mountain High School. She enjoys spending time with her dog Kenai.

Shannon is a Certified Veterinary Technician that joined the team in September 2024. Before becoming a CVT in 2017 she taught Japanese in Boston Public Schools, and lived in Japan for several years. Her seven years of tech experience include small animal, exotics, and emergency/critical care, and she has a particular interest in veterinary nutrition. When she’s not working, Shannon loves crafting, gardening, traveling and doing dog sports/dog training with her Vizsla, Phoenix. She also has a chihuahua named Peso, a tortoise, cat, green-cheeked conure, and chickens. She currently resides in Charlestown with her husband, daughter, and son.

Leanne grew up in Brookline, NH and followed her husband around the country while he served in the military. During that time, they had 2 boys and Leanne received an Associate Degree in Liberal Arts. While stationed in Whidbey Island Leanne volunteered at an animal rescue and began school for a Small Animal Veterinary Assistant Certificate for Cedar Valley College. She has worked in several clinics and when it was tune to retire from military life, they chose to move back near family. Currently they have 4 cats.

Hayley is one of our Veterinary assistants. She is from southern Kentucky and received her Bachelor's degree from Bellarmine University in Louisville. She currently has multiple reptiles and four dogs at home. In her free time, she enjoys weird 80s movies, reading, and hiking.

Makayla is one of our veterinary assistants. She joined Walpole Vet in December of 2021 as a receptionist, and became a tech assistant in August of 2022. She is working on becoming a veterinary technician through the Penn Foster Program. Makayla is from Vermont but was born and partially raised in Missouri and Arkansas. When Makayla isn’t working she can be found doing many things such as hiking, photography, ATV riding, or spending time with her dog Buddy and her 2 cats Neeko and Otis.

Jill has been with Walpole Veterinary Hospital since August 2022.  She is originally from Boston, MA and moved to Vermont in 2004 with 18+ years in the medical field.  She resides in Westminster, VT with her husband, two daughters, a dog and two cats. Jill enjoys attending her daughter’s sporting events, long drives up, north, reading, and spending time with family and friends.

Christina joined Walpole Vet in October of 2022 as a full time medical receptionist. Christina grew up in the Bellows Falls area and lives in Springfield, VT with her fiancé, 2 boys, and 3 fur babies. In Christina’s free time she enjoys bird watching, fishing, and crafting.

Shelby joined the front desk team at Walpole Veterinary Hospital in August, 2024. She grew up in Dummerston, VT. When Shelby isn't working, she enjoys spending time with family, collecting vinyl figures, audio records, secondhand shopping and attending local markets with her partner Grayson. Shelby strives to provide outstanding service and care for the people and pets of Walpole Veterinary Hospital.

Tracey has been the bookkeper for the Walpole Veterinary Hospital since February 2013. She grew up an Army brat and lived in several states and countries before settling in New Hampshire with her two children. In her free time, Tracey enjoys golfing, traveling, and photography.

Yvonne joined Walpole Vet in the fall of 2021. She was raised in Dummerston, VT. When Yvonne isn’t working, she enjoys spending time with family and friends, baking, and camping.

Tarra came to Walpole Vet from another veterinary hospital in 2017. She was raised in Brookfield, CT and received a Bachelor's Degree in English/Writing, in Danbury, CT. She and her family moved to Vermont in 2006. Her son left the nest to marry and live in Virginia. An avid gamer, reader, and animal lover their home is full of many furred and feathered children.
